OUR HISTORY
The company originated in 1980 as a two bay shop on rt11 in Greencastle at the current Hardees. It wasn’t known as Bill Bowers Tire & Auto Center then but as a Sunoco gas station. In 1984, Bill Bowers Sunoco moved south on rt11 near the Mason Dixon Auto Auction where Kiser’s Auto Repair is located. In 1990, Bill Bowers decided to move a little further south on rt11 where he opened what is known today as Bill Bowers Tire & Auto Center. The shop opened as a four bay shop performing automotive repairs and new tire sales and installation. In 1996, the company added three additional work bays making it a seven bay shop as it is today.
In 2015, Chad Bingaman acquired ownership as Bill Bowers was retiring from the company. Chad has always been a Greencastle resident graduating from Greencastle-Antrim High School in 2001.
